From a a lawyer representing numerous fired and or reprimanded jail officers in the Cook County Sheriff office.
I have been investigating a Cook County deputy who has ADA position with the sheriff but also works side jobs including acting roles in the NBC TV Show Chicago PD.. He is prohibited to work any side jobs under ADA policy and has been on paid leave disability six out of the last seven years of service according to FOIA request we have obtained. He has not filed for secondary employment with the Sheriff. As you are aware, many of my clients were severely reprimanded for this same alleged infraction. His has ties too Kevin Connelly who runs the court division as the First Chief Deputy Sheriff. The lawyer representing him in work related injury claims is Ridge and Downes attorney Karin Connelly, none other than Kevin sister.. She represents numerous other deputies for various work injury claims according to FOIA requests. I think we can show the double standard for the way white political connected are not subjected to the same extraordinary discipline black officers we are representing.
